Vornweg: Mit dem Sammeln von eBooks hab ich gar keine Erfahrungen. Mit Verlagen allerdings schon. 

Je nach Größe des Verlags kann es sich safe lohnen, da Mal in Kontakt zu gehen. Grade bei kleineren Verlagen sitzen dann Leute wie ich dort, die dann ne E-Mail abfangen, das Anliegen nett finden und schauen würden, ob sich dahingehend etwas einrichten lässt :3

Auch eine Möglichkeit und in manchen Fällen die Bessere: Autor*innen anhauen, über Social Media oder Kontaktangaben auf Websites. Besonders wenn eBooks vom Markt genommen werden, könnte es sein, dass Lizenzen etc. ausgelaufen sind.
Auch da kommt es natürlich auf Größe/Erreichbarkeit an - und auch auf Originalsprache :3

eBooks gebraucht kaufen geht meines Wissens so gut wie nicht, weil man ja häufig nicht die Datei sondern nur eine Nutzungslizenz (oder so, don't come @ me :'D) erwirbt. 

Du könntest dich auch Mal auf Reddit o.ä. rumtreiben und dort checken, ob jemand ähnliche Pläne hat wie du und vielleicht ein paar Tipps sourcen?

LadyMaybeth, aaah, thamk u! Das kann ich grad so zurück geben :'D Assassin's Quest liegt zwar noch halb gelesen rum, aber die Farseer Bücher sind delicious! (emotionally devastating as well) Enjoy!!
